Personality:
Sonic is a free spirit to say the least.
While he loves relaxing and having time to himself, he also loves adventuring and seeing his friends. It really depends on his current mood. He is a drifter and is constantly on the move, letting the wind guide him from place to place. He has never been the type to stick around one place for too long. It’s simply too boring. He needs to see the world! Take part in all new thrills! See new, beautiful landscapes! But this doesn’t mean he won’t stop by to visit again, especially if he has a friend in the area.
Sonic has a strong sense of justice and will always get serious when the going gets tough. He wants nothing to do with things that will constrain his or anyone else’s’ freedoms. It just isn’t right! If he knows you’re a part of a bad group, get ready for a butt whooping’. Or an earful of sass. Sonic has a tendency to toy with his enemies, whether that’s by using his fast abilities to run circles around them or his quick wit to insult/embarrass them. However, Sonic’s toying is not exclusive to his enemies. Often times his friends are preyed upon by this blue asshole and are subjected to playful torments and practical jokes (seriously, his puns could kill someone).
He is extremely cocky and feels invincible when he thinks he can win. With an ego so large, it’s easy to wound him emotionally by being better than him at something he’s good at. He tries to be a graceful loser but on the inside he is just screaming and instantly marks you as a rival, already scheming to beat you someday. It’s also worth mentioning that Sonic is very reckless because of his confidence, sometimes getting him in situations that are way over his head.
Despite this, Sonic can actually be a very understanding person. He hates to see people cry and is on his best behavior to cheer them up, to bring hope back to them when things are bleak. You can count on him to stand by you, even if he doesn’t like you that much. Unless you’ve proven otherwise, Sonic tends to leave the past behind and has been known to forgive and forget when someone does him or his friends wrong, given that they show it was a misunderstanding or that they are serious about turning good. There are times where he can be insightful, too. His take on Chaos being sealed into the Master Emerald is a perfect example of this.
Sonics hobbies (that aren’t going fast) include: Breakdancing, DJing, Parkour, dressing up as Santa during Christmas, sightseeing, smelling flowers, raising chao (though here it will be Pokemon), thrill-seeking, sleeping, vacationing, saving the world, and drinking that last bit of milk in your fridge.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ PARKOUR AS SHIT: Luckily Sonic is still pretty much a noodle. He is flexible and athletic enough to be as Parkour as his Hedgehog self. The only downer is that he’s taller now so squeezing under smaller gaps may be a challenge. Not to mention his head isn’t as big as it used to be so it’s going to take some practice for him to figure out how to throw his newly distributed weight around. I guess being able to competently preform on skateboards and things would also fall under this. Strangely enough, without his speed helping him hold things up, his noodle arms cannot handle any weight that his heavier than his own.
+ PUMP UP THE VOLUME: This is a pretty mundane strength but Sonic has a great ear for music. He was a pretty sick DJ back home. He knows a good song when he hears it! I can tell you right now that most of the memory on his new PokeGear will be used for music.
+ ON THE FLY: Sonic is actually quite smart when he really wants to be and is good at picking up new things when they interest him. However, this new Pokemon thing is going to take a long time to get a grip on since it doesn’t require HIMSELF fighting or being in control with the Pokemon’s exact movements. Plus there’s a whole bevy of information for him to learn and that’s Tails’ thing. Why isn’t he here to tell Sonic everything he needs to know?
+ CAST IRON STOMACH: If I were you, I wouldn’t try to face Sonic off in any eating contest. With his crazy metabolism, his hunger goes uncontested. Fatty junk food is his biggest food source, especially Chilli Dogs. His gut can handle just about anything.
+/- HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT: With his previous experiences, Sonic is pretty competent with fighting (except any moves that have to deal with spinning no long exist for him). However, unless you’re Robuttnik, he has a hard time with fighting humans since they’re usually the innocent ones so he might dance around you if you try throwing punches instead of fighting back. God help you if you actually hit him.
+/- CAN GO FAST BUT NOT THAT FAST: With Sonic’s typical running speed being stripped away, he now runs at the speed of a professional track runner, but at the moment he can only go that kind of speed for a short distance. His little human heart can’t take it. However, if he paces himself out, he can run for quite a while. But either way, these speeds are far too slow to him and he will strive as hard as he can to regain his Mach I abilities. Too bad he doesn’t know that it’s impossible. :( This also means his jumps and aerial tricks are much more limited.
+/- IMPECKABLE REACTION: With how fast he used to be able to go, everything around him almost goes in slow motion, figuratively speaking. He’s good at predicting what someone’s next move is going to be when fighting someone face to face and will more than likely dodge it with great ease. He’s fought super-fast robots for a long time, it’s his thing. He cannot do the same with Pokemon battles. He doesn’t know anything about them so it’s going to take some getting used to. On a side note, there are many times where he acts before he thinks and gets himself into really big trouble, so this is also a weakness.
+/- THEY’RE SO CUTE: Whether he admits it or not, Sonic has a super weakness for animals (and kids), especially cute ones. He will go out of his way to make sure they get the respect they deserve or do his best to rescue them. If he sees you treating your Pokemon/kids like trash, I can guarantee he will give you a piece of his mind and you will forever be on his shit list. He has NO tolerance for that garbage.
- EGO AS BIG AS THE SUN: While he’s not nearly as cool as his hedgehog self now, he will still act like he’s the shit and has the tendency to brag. This can sometimes get him into trouble.
- AQUAPHOBIA: Sonic cannot swim, period. In fact he is deathly afraid of large bodies of water and would like to avoid it at all costs. If he was ever on a drifting boat for too long, he’d go mad. He is simply impossible to teach swimming to and he will sink to the bottom if he tries. But if he has floaties, he would totally jump into your pool!
- CLAUSTROPHOBIC: Sonic cannot stand any small spaces or anything that confines him to one spot. If he is in a small cell or anything of the like, he will start running laps, exercising, pacing, and anything else that keeps his feet moving. But that will only work for so long, as he will lose his mind if left there for long periods of time. If his legs are bound and he can’t move around for long, you will successfully melt the poor guy’s brain.
- BOO-HOO BABY: While Sonic is able to stand great amounts of pain in large doses, little pains are something that bother him a lot. If he is pricked with a needle or has a sliver, he’ll whine and complain about it. And don’t even get me started on what would happen if he stubbed a toe. That would put Sonic out of commission for a whole day.

[Sonic opened his new ‘phone’ and accidently started up the video recorder on his PokeGear. He stared into its tiny screen with a confused look, bringing it closer to his face as he examined what exactly the PokeGear was recording. Upon figuring out it was his new human face he was looking at, his eyes widened.]
WAHH!
[He practically flings the ‘Gear with surprise and it shuts off…]
[…]
[… Then it turns back on.]
You’re saying that’s me??
[He appears to be talking to someone off camera and there is a soft, almost inaudible woman’s voice talking to him as he starts examining his face, placing a hand on his cheek, rubbing it in shock. No way. This can’t be real. He poked the tip of his long nose, felt his now rounded ears, fiddled with his strangely blue human hair, and examined the slight scruff on his chin… It had to be a dream! He then pulled on one of his upper eyelids, only to have the woman off camera slap his hand, making him let it go.]
Hey!
[He looks over at her in annoyance as she says… Something to him, her voice muffled.]
Yeah well listen lady, I am not supposed to be human! I’m a hedgehog!
[She speaks again.]
… What do you mean “start my Pokemon Journey”? What the heck’s a “Pokemon”??? Who are you? Where am I?? Hey, what are you doing! Get your hands off me!
[He drops the ‘Gear once again as the lady pulls on him and it shuts off again…]
Third Person Sample:
Just like the introduction to the place states, Sonic was thrown out into the open world of Pokemon, just as dazed and confused as everyone else. Over his shoulder was a brand new bag filled with… Stuff and it rested heavily on his arm. He just got out of this weird tussle with some strange, obviously delirious human lady who told him that he must go on… What was it again? Pokemans journey or some crap? What did that even mean??
But that wasn’t the worst of it.
After looking out at the land that was set before him, the poor boy looked down at his gloved hands. Sure they were still gloved like always but underneath were not his normal, kinda human hands. They were STRAIGHT UP human hands. He could FEEL the difference. His entire physical being felt different. Awkward… Taller, even. With a nervous gulp, he shut his eyes tightly and turned his head downward. He then opened them and looked down at his entire being, jumping in surprise.
YEP.
He wasn’t a hedgehog anymore. And he was in CLOTHES.
That weird lady wasn’t lying, and the ‘phone’ wasn’t broken…
It was a dream. There was no other explanation. What was he even doing before all this??
Putting a hand over his forehead, Sonic tried to recall any memories he had before winding up here. It took a moment, but they did surface. That’s right… They were going home. Back to Earth. Right after that whole thing with the ARK and Shadow… He must have fallen asleep on the space ship. He’s had to be dead asleep to dream up this mess.
Letting out an aggravated sigh, he placed his hands on his hips as he finally looked out into the open space before him, unsure where he should go from here. Had he still been an anthropomorphic hedgehog, his ears would have been twitching at the sound of the faint background music. What was making that noise? He was pretty sure that it wasn’t in his head…
Hey wait a sec.
Looking down at one of his hips, he noticed that his hand rested on a round, red and white ball attatched to his belt. What in the world is that? Pulling on it, it came off with great ease and he noticed that there were places on his belt to hold 5 more.
“What the…” he muttered as he brought the strange sphere closer to his face. It was a little heavy but rested well in his grip. And most importantly, there was a big white button on it. Should he press it? It kind of looked like something Eggman would make. Maybe he was the one responsible for this? But Sonic thought that they were on the same page when they left the ARK… That sneaky egghead!
Well, regardless of who made it, Sonic’s spirit of adventure kicked in and made him wonder what exactly would happen if he pressed that button. He could already feel his finger reaching for it, eyes wide with wonderment…
He pressed it.
A large red flash of light came out, aiming itself right at the ground in front of him, and at the end of it appeared a… Long Tailed… Pig? When the red light faded and it was in full-view, the bizarre animal stood there, as still as a statue. For a bit, Sonic stared at it, wondering If the animal was real. It was so still… Where he came from, animals (including pigs) were very energetic and happy when they came out of things they were trapped in. But this thing… Kneeling down to get a closer look, he reached over and gave it a couple pokes, his finger making small indents into its skin.
“Hello?” he asked. It was squishy, so it wasn’t stuffed… After waiting a few moments, the animal slowly, but surely, looked up at him with it’s large walled eyes and a big blank grin. Sonic frowned and got a little nervous.'
Was it sick?
“Sloooowwwwww,” it answered in a low, agonizingly slow tone.
Hold on, these things can talk? What did it mean “Slow”?
“Y-yeah, you are pretty slow,” Sonic admitted to it. No point in beating around the bush. It stared at him for a while longer and then spoke again.
“Slooowwwwpoooke.”
… Ok, was this thing insulting him? Getting angry, Sonic stood straight again.
“I am not, you are! Who do you think you are anyway? Calling me, your rescuer, a slowpoke… Didn’t even say thank you!” he huffed. “Geesh, do you even know who I am? I’m Sonic! You know, the fastest thing alive? Ring any bells?”
The Slowpoke didn’t answer. Instead, after taking a few moments to process that it was being talked to, it slowly tilted its head at him. Getting frustrated, Sonic started to storm away. He had much better things to do than to stick around an ungrateful animal!
“You’re welcome!” he snorted, leaving the Slowpoke behind. Once again, slowly soaking in the situation, Slowpoke paused and then slowly turned around, trying to follow this aggravated human. Sonic looked back as he stomped off, but ended up stopping as he stared at that poor pink creature. It followed him, yes, but it was soooo pitifully sloooowwww. Sonic felt really bad for it, even if it did insult him. It was just an innocent animal… It didn’t deserve to just be left there. Eggman would probably scoop it back up and put It in one of his robots. Or another one of those weird ball things. Why Robuttnik would want to do that to such a dumb, lazy animal he may never know, but it didn’t deserve it.
Sighing again, Sonic walked back over to it and picked it up, tucking it under his thin arm.
“C’mon… Let’s find you a safe place to hide.” THEN he could get his bearings and get out of this whole mess.

Was it sick?
“Sloooowwwwww,” it answered in a low, agonizingly slow tone.
Hold on, these things can talk? What did it mean “Slow”?
“Y-yeah, you are pretty slow,” Sonic admitted to it. No point in beating around the bush. It stared at him for a while longer and then spoke again.
“Slooowwwwpoooke.”
… Ok, was this thing insulting him? Getting angry, Sonic stood straight again.
“I am not, you are! Who do you think you are anyway? Calling me, your rescuer, a slowpoke… Didn’t even say thank you!” he huffed. “Geesh, do you even know who I am? I’m Sonic! You know, the fastest thing alive? Ring any bells?”
The Slowpoke didn’t answer. Instead, after taking a few moments to process that it was being talked to, it slowly tilted its head at him. Getting frustrated, Sonic started to storm away. He had much better things to do than to stick around an ungrateful animal!
“You’re welcome!” he snorted, leaving the Slowpoke behind. Once again, slowly soaking in the situation, Slowpoke paused and then slowly turned around, trying to follow this aggravated human. Sonic looked back as he stomped off, but ended up stopping as he stared at that poor pink creature. It followed him, yes, but it was soooo pitifully sloooowwww. Sonic felt really bad for it, even if it did insult him. It was just an innocent animal… It didn’t deserve to just be left there. Eggman would probably scoop it back up and put It in one of his robots. Or another one of those weird ball things. Why Robuttnik would want to do that to such a dumb, lazy animal he may never know, but it didn’t deserve it.
Sighing again, Sonic walked back over to it and picked it up, tucking it under his thin arm.
“C’mon… Let’s find you a safe place to hide.” THEN he could get his bearings and get out of this whole mess.
